Well papali... don't get scared!!!hehe... u don't have to do all that skiing n all if u don't want to....yeah u need some warm clothes but not those gears everyday....if u are into adventure and outdoor activities its a great place...and even u r indoor kinda person... i bet u"ll find lots of fun thing to do....gosh... its funnny how people frm other states think about MN... its cold but u can live normally... its not like antarctica or something..lol....oh yeah palpali.. on ur notion about why i don't go to nepali restaurants that often.. well i cook all the time..at least every weekends..n i think there is not much of a differene in wht i cook n wht they have..(dhaak deko haina la)...but i go there once in a while to have gulaab jamun and gelabi...hehe :-)

gulab jamun and jalebi?!? nepali restaurant ho ki indian restaurant?! la, tyasaile ma mn maa basne aaye bhane, you can cook for me and i won't have to spend my hard-earned paisa at the mahango restaurants! la la la....

i do really enjoy cross country skiing, although i haven't been in a few years. and i like hiking and camping too. snowshoeing chai try gareko chhaina, but i have heard it's a lot of fun!

and with regards to what other people think about mn, it goes that way for every state. i grew up in nj and it has such a bad reputation! granted, some of it is justified, but there are plenty of wonderful parts of nj and plenty of wonderful things about it. it's not like the entire state is concrete and industrial factories! tyo ta garden state parkway tira....anyway, i look forward to your dal bhat!

For me, to be in snow. Not one of the best things to do. There are lot better things to do than play on snow. Dyyyyyyyamn, maanche harulai k huncha yaar. But still thinking, looks like should try MN some day, at least for a year or so.

We were camping in lake Saganaga, an hour drive up north from Grand Marais and then 5 hours of hike from there. Grand Marais is about 260 miles north from the cities and about 30 miles SW from the Canadian border.

Though we took our skis with us, we ended up snowshoeing most of the way since the snow was too deep (3-4ft) and no one had broken the trails for us. We were there for 3 nights.

Will post more pics as I get time to reduce the resolution on those pics to fit it in the sajha land.

PG, here is the summer in mpls, taken in the state fair this past year.
