ha haha, good one. 1. look at the top corner of the above red triangle, 2. look at the corresponding point on the lower figure, you can see the small gap there. actually the red triangle is taking more space along its hypotenuse in the lower figure that the upper figure. that is why the space is left over. gufai ta ho..:)

Khas ma the hypotenuse of the top triangle is not a straight line. the lower line is. so these two triangles cannot be compared. they are just an optical illusion.
