Sajha Law Gurus I heard that H-1B filings for this year will start in March. Is this true? Also, I have 9 more credits left for my Masters program which I'll be finishing this Sept. I heard that I can file under the Master's category as long as I have 12 or more credits left. Is this true? I'm in very desparate situation right now. Please advice with valuable suggestions.

1.As far as I know, you need to have your masters degree(full completion) in order to file in masters quota. 2. April is when the H1B quota starts. Correct me if I am wrong.

Saninani To the best of my knowledge, in any case you need a sponsoring employer.

Mohan B ..In my understanding you can file for H1B as far as you would complete the Master's degree by the dead line for filing ..which in anyway, doesn't seem to help your case.

That’s Y I am getting done in March and have a potential employer (for a change this time Hahahahah:)). Well you better talk to your employer cause last year H1 B quotas for masters and PhD's (20000 extras) went out on (around) July 27th, (which might be even sooner this year). So, you better start looking for an employer who would be ready to file you in April, (though you won’t be starting till Sept). Now that’s pretty desperate.
