hey Guys..lets talk about some intellectual topic .. R we alone in the universe? what u think about the concept of multi-verse? what u think about the movie " Matrix" ? Are we a part of computer simulation ? Is there any Programmer who wrote a self evolving program ( some are viruses ) like us?

I would say: certainly not To be a life like in earth.. there should water like substance and Scientist say: there are billion of galaxy and billions of billions of star .. there is 1/10 chance that a star can have a revolving plant like earth .. so there is (billions*billons/10 ) chance that we are not alone ..

then question arises: why dont they contact us ? are not they intelligent enough to make contact with us ..or they are also waiting for our signal like we are waiting ...

Is God is a Programmer? Our brain is very powerful but the life it has is limited.. Is there is a class variable var age =0 and it it cant go beyond may be 120 years ... Scientist says ..if we can preserve the mind for more than 1000 years .. we can find the god ... It is God( Programmer's) grand design that our brain can not live more than 100 years..

wow .. nice link .. but still these resources dont give the answer.. Scientists are still in doubt ... When will we know .. that we are not alone ..? DO u guys agree with the concept of the movie " Matrix" .. it is really a research based movie.

matrix is a fantasy or a science fiction, for sure. if you closely look at the quantum mechanics and its uncertainty principles, then the theory of relativity and its space time and gravitation curvature, then look closely at the m-theory (unified string theory), we will clearly understand that the universe works on the way of a chance when everything we know exist in the known 4 dimension and whatever is unknown are all on the other dimension that our physical eyes cannot see. and everything (including matter) are made up tiny bits of quarks (evident) and even smaller strings (hypothetical). strings are so tiny that current technology is like extremely ancient to even detect it, forget seeing it. but, they could be so large that it can form a brane around any given universe to separate (linguistically) each other from each other.

WOW Sujanks.. Very good indeed.. I got ur idea but how do you relate this with the BigBang theory ? What is the start of the universe? Scientists say: Present universe came from nowhere... it grew from zero ? They are, in fact, taking about the concept of Mutiverse.. there are not only one universe .. there are many universe .. The theory we are talking about valids for our universe..but there are different physical rules, theory in the other universe..our physics does not apply there coz there is no physical things in the other universe .. It is really a huge concept .. lets keep on talking ... Guys ..tell us .. how u wonder about our universe?

one more question in my mind: What is the depth of the Universe? .. or there is no depth at all ..? is it like orange or flat like cake ?

Several questions that have been asked. There are no simple answers but we know much more about the cosmos than say ten years ago and dramatically much more than from 100 years since the formulation of general relativity and quantum field theory. The idea for multiverse is pretty unique. In string theory or now M-theory, the extra dimension space is describe by particular geometry known as Calabi Yau manifolds. And now we know that there could be several Calabi Yaus which is known as a vacua problem. This leads to the problem of uniqueness, which asks what makes the universe unique. The answer to these questions are difficult which has lead to even respected people resorting a nonsense theories that leads the rich fundamental theories of nature to darknes of metahysis. The questions are important but the answers so far is far rom satisfactory. For instance the constants in nature that appears in physical theories such as fine structure constants, charge of the electron, mass of hadrons, Gravitational constants and so on. If these constants were modified slightly the universe that we know will collapse. This question by itself is reasonable but the recent approach have been preposterous. Shape of the Universe The truth is it could be anything. It could be spherical, cylindrical, torus ( shape of the donut) , mobius strip. The bounded universe would be a really cool one becuase the light(electromagnetic waves) would travel around which may give us mulptiple images of an event. For instance you could see yourelf if you live suficently long if the universe wa a torus. The other thats possible is universe is an infinite branes seperated by what is known as an orbifold. Right now we have some beautiful ideas on the universe that are consistent logically. However there are problems that seem intractable for the time. Ultimately, experiments and evidence will tell us exactly what the shape of the universe. However, we strongly feel that universe is hmogeneous and isotropic. Universe is homogeneous I am not going to explain the technical detail but there are things that restrict the shape of the universe. Homogeneity means that earth anything else does not occupy a privilaged place in the universe as the ancients once believe. This is ofcourse at a very large scale as that doesnt mean that New York or Earth or milkyway.Evidence suggests that universe is homogeneous and isotropic in largescale I wish I could write more. I have to leave and save at least some of you from clinical depression of living in this cosmic drama. Also the purpose of this post is to inform and not to indulge in a secular discussion of science in a public forum.
