NFL is not a conventional sport. But is probably the most exciting sport in the world and there is no doubt on that. And for all you guys above, they have all kinds of people in NFL. Ripped and toned QB, WR and RBs to jacked up and yes, sometime obese, defense.

No doubt NFL is the king here in US. Soccer will not be major sporting event until US win world cup. They don't want soccer to overtake over football. That's why they don't even broadcast all the games in local channels. Its mostly in ESPN. NFL is exciting & soccer will be always immigrants' sports here. But that could change in 10- 20 yrs. I hope they get to host 2022 world cup. Boycott Qatar 2022.

Dont get me wrong, i love soccer. The art of maneuvering the ball with your feet is a great sport on its own. But the rules need to be updated to match the level of civilazation we are at.

I really hate how much power the referees have. It makes them obnoxious. Soccer is not a fair game at all. Just like autocratic british rule, soccer is all about giving referees all the power. They flag players at will. They make wrong calls. They have big egos. And evetything they do is final. Years of effort of players get thrown in waste basket because of wrong calls.

There really needs to be a way of making sure that the effort and skills of whole teams are not undermined by one mistake of a human being.

We cannot keep practicing old customs that do not make sense. To err is human, but to allow unfair practice to leave a bitter aftertaste of a beautiful game is errr plain insane.

Soccer is a women's sports period. no pun intended. it's boring, no excitement at all, and players are wuss, they flop and dive and act like they are going to die and the next second they get up and are running. waiyaat sports with less action and classless actors. that game doesn't even need any skill, anyone can kick the ball around and even then these actors cant score much.. what a lousy game

You can't compare one game to another, there's no "better" game, because "better" is subjective. How do you quantify better? More action? More impacts? More goals? You can only gauge games by popularity and soccer is the most popular sports in the world, period.

Football is good in its place. It's like a game of chess where each piece is alive and muscular. Soccer, well its like a religion, if you don't believe me- just watch John Oliver's piece on soccer. Like somebody said, "They say soccer is their life. I laugh at them. It's much more than that."

For those saying NFL has obese people, you probably don't follow the game. You see a couple of Offensive linemen and you think that's the typical size of NFL player. Take a look at WR or RBs, they are one of the leanest, quickest human being in the world, only next to running. Those who think soccer is a woman's game; well, you don't understand soccer. What's excitement for you? A barrage of goals? Well, I find it equally entertaining to watch a synchronized sequence of passes and dribbling. As for diving, how is that a woman thing? Like it or not, it's part of the strategy. Michael Jordan became the best NBA player ever not just because of his physical moves but also his psychological maneuvers. Diving, you can compare that to acting. I hate diving, I think soccer should do something to curb this practice, but I won't say it makes the game a woman's sport. These are not the players who are in the field with helmet despite the fact that they don't aren't driving any motor bikes. With your definition, if soccer is for women, chess would be for 2 years old.

I like soccer and football both. Soccer a tad better because I followed it since I was a kid and I still play this game. But I won't take anything away from football either.
