No offense to any ethnic groups or anyone..I have lots of friend from different ethnic group i grew up wit n I've got tremendous bond with them,but m surprised to c so many demands on separate state..can we afford ? geographically n economically we are such small country. we had lived in harmony among us for so long;Y can't we just be a united force..fight for the rights..fight for the country n live in harmony rather divide this country into small state.there will be so many state..giving ethnic based state..will dis-advantaged minority group already living there from 100s of years..n most important is country cant' afford it @ all..divide us even more....we should be fighting for the Nation not separate state in my view

अब त्यो आन्दोलन कल्ले चलाई राख्या छन त ? मलाई जहाँ सम्म जानकारी छ, त्यो माओवादी कै भात्री रात्री संगठनहरुले चलाई राखेका छन। टोल छिमेकका फताह लुच्चा जम्मै वाइस्याल र नेवा मुक्ती मोर्चामा छन। जनता तिनको समर्थनमा होइन तिनको गुण्डा राज को कारणले मौन छन। नेवार जाती अपहेलित, उपेक्षित छन भन्ने मिथ्या सन्देश संचार गरेर दशकौं देखी पद्म रत्न तुलाधर र मल्ल के सुन्दर जस्ता खमेरुजका सन्तान ( सैतानहरुले) नेवार समुदायहरुलाई दिग्भ्रमित परेकाछन। कथित मानवाधिकारबादी को नाम मा दानवधिकार को वकालत गर्ने यिनै नेवार भित्रका सुम्भ निसुम्भहरुलाई निर्मूल न पारी केही हुने वाला छैन।
 
 

नेपलका राजनैतीक पार्टिहरु जनताको अभिमत भन्दा पनि बाहिरी शक्ती बाट सन्चालित हुने कुरा कुनै नौलो हैन । धेरै कम् जनाधार भएको चित्र बहादुर केसी को राष्ट्रिय जनमोर्चा बाहेक अधिकान्श पार्टिहरुले जातिय संघियता को पक्षमा बोल्नु को पछाडि राष्ट्रिय स्वार्थ भन्दा पनि ब्याक्तिगत वा पार्टिगत स्वार्थ बोलेको देखिन्छ । गणतन्त्र, संघियता र जातिय स्वशाशन् को खोक्रो नाराका भरमा सत्तामा पुगेको माओवादी को नक्कल गर्दै अरु पार्टी हरु पनि संगै बढारिन खोज्दै छन । तराइमा मधेशी पार्टी उदाए जस्तै अरु क्षेत्र मा पनि छेत्रीय/जातिय  पार्टी ले बर्चस्व जमाए पछी मात्रै नेपालका शक्तिशाली भनाउदा पार्टिहरुको घैटामा घाम लाग्ला

even just the symbol of Monarchy was enough to hold all the ethnic nepalese groups together. In such a small country like Nepal such demand is really heartbreaking and unnecessary. Back in my home town.......My neighbors are of all different ethnic groups, .....the houses on the right.....shrestha uncle....next to him, Gurung dai's restaurant and above him is Karii uncles house. behind and around our house are many many  houses which has people from all different casts and ethnic groups but has been living there as neighbors since for ever and we know them all like family and their kids are my childhood friends we grew up together and still are best fo friends who would die for each other ...you know TOLE TOLE KO SATHI HARU . Even in school...every kid had a different last name  and came from all different ethnic bacgrounds BUT WE WERE ALL NEPALI AND FROM NEPAL and we dont know anyother way of life. what if they have to leave or we have to leave to a community of similar ethnic groups........THAT WILL NOT SEEM RIGHT OR EVEN NEPAL........whats goin on is beyond our controll or against our wishes.............PLEASE STOP THIS MADNESS.....WE ARE ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS..WE ARE NEPALESE FIRST AND THEN WHATEVER IS NOT IMPORTANT........PLEASE STOP THIS MADNESS.

Let me make it clear. I am a Nepali, then a Madheshi, then a human being. I don't know much about the importance of having a Newa State, but I don't even think it's important to have a Swayatta Madhesh either.

The reason we are drowning is that there are so many non issues that our leaders, our so called civil society, so called RASTRABADI'S, like to keep us engaged in that we constantly and perpetually have been unable to look out of that for ever.

While we keep fighting wwith each other on Hrithik Roshan issues (Remember BAmdev's interview with Ravindra Mishra on that night in BBC Nepali ? He was encouraging more agitation even after Hrithik said he never said so), lives were lost, public properties damaged..for what? RASTRABADITA ? I don't think so.

While the entire public was doped that with the King gone, with the commencement of new constitutional assembly, Nepal will be NAYA NEPAL..we got that right ? I am not a King or any party supporter, but Kings time was definitely not worse than current rule.

On the positive side, what is that we don't have ? We've got resources, nature has blessed us,we've got a good image throughout the world as honest and hospitable people who r great warriors...

But we don't have one thing..called sense..called vision...called looking outside and beyond the non issues and looking at the bigger issues, important issues which is to improve the economy, infrastructure development, jobs, and so on.

We have become kind of Bangladesh, Pakistan and counties like that where the general public is always regularly doped/ given a certain dosage of drugs like religion, separate state, anti India sentiment, fake nationality, fighting and killing and getting killed for nothing..and thus them and their 200,000 generations can never think of the real issue, while they can't have jobs and education, they r happy they got a separate state.

I don't want a separate state for Madhesi's. But what can I do ? Practically, I'm helpless.
Can the brain say, separate me and I can work independently. Can all fingers be separated and be functional as they will be if they were a fist? Think about it.

And yes, before blaming India and others for funding and fuelling these movements, lets introspect, how clean we are ? If they are acting on their interest, why can't we act on our interest, which is...so many things.

GP, babaan singh is caught.but it is more directed by the revenge mentality of maoist rather than any lawfulness. Do you know babaan singh is caught after he made remark that " Maoist are behind the killing of journalist Uma singh".  Immidiately babaan singh was caught without any proper procedure.  There is special law how to caught cabinet member, however, those method were not met.   But overall babaan singh should have been caught but in the lawful way.

The void created by the absence of the super power, the then king,  was certain to create a chaotic power struggle.

Selfish leaders (redundant?) initiate fights and such claims to fulfill there own propaganda, to claim the power for themselves.

 

As an educated citizen, it is our duty and responsibility to not lose our cool and understand that it is not the whole race/cult that is demanding the partition but select few leaders who are willing to break our country to address their motive. As some Newa brothers posted earlier, they don’t want a divided state. If reality is presented in a factual way, most Madhesis wouldn’t also won’t want a separate state. We thus shouldn’t divulge in a race/ethnic politics that the very leaders want us to be involved in.

I am also a Newar but I am against the demand of so called sovereign Newa State. I need Nepal a  whole nation where all nepalese can equally live with harmony. Rahulvai ji what you said is 100% true. But I am surprised why no  political parties and leaders, intellectuals, professors, students, lawyers, civil society no one speaks against this suicidal step? When did a newar from Bhaktapur said he needed a seperate state? when did a newar from kirtipur demanded the same? when did a newar from Lalitpur, Kathmandu and outside valley demanded a seperate state? We all nepalese demanded sustainable peace at the first step of change then gradually other developments. This is the time to do something to stop it. At least we can start signing a petition and submit it to the nepalese embassy from wherever we are.
May Nepal live longer.
