I am astounded to see so many responses, without regard to their merits, on my, what I feel like, an innocuous posting on a very miniscule congrats posted on today’s New York Post, which I hardly read.

I had heard about Kiran Chetry seeing somewhere that she had attended one of the ANA gatherings in recent years. Her name, a Nepali one at that, in the paper today grabbed my attention. (I have not even seen her on TV as I don’t watch FOX. Just as they call CNN a Clinton News Network, I believe Fox as RWN – Right Wing Network).

But just as someone asked “Who’s Kiran Chetry” here, I’d be just as glad if some more have come to know something they didn’t before. I know, I know, now you must be going, “So what?” But really, just to ‘know’ – that’s all.

Much have been written in just a few hours here. Neither do I think I can respond to all or that I ought to even attempt. What should go on Sajha.com is of each one’s interpretation and how one should respond; I won’t even touch that with a ten foot pole.

It was good to see a Nepali Name in a very popular American (New York) tabloid and thought some would be interested if I shared that – via a very popular Nepali web site.

Oh yeah, Badmash be specific where you smack Kahobaadi on his/her face. There is a tiny button in the middle of this eyebrows. Make sure you smack there. The button will then shut him up :):) Gazab chhan ba manche haru.

Thanks ssNY. I did not even know that a Nepali woman works for a prestigious news channel so that is quite a news for me from this thread. Her giving birth to a baby might not be a headline making news but nonetheless at least I knew about her. There could be hundreds of other readers like me who might have at least come to know about her from this and I guess that is a matter of pride as she is a Nepalese. If someone does not care about this then be it, we don't care about them either. As simple as that.

Oh she works in Fox, thts good to know. Atleast this position is far better than in mc donald or burger king. Being a nepali obviously we can give congratulations. And if someone doesnt care, I think its just 'niu khojne' thing to debate in this congratulations thread. Just immagine, if someone is creating congratulations thread for you, wt will your response if some people try to make mess in the thread?
