What stocks are you buying tomorrow as dowjones lost 630+ points today?  Are you planning to still wait?

These are in my watchlist:

MRK - Merck
INTC - Intel
WM - Waste Management
SO - Southern Company
NLY - Annaly Capital
PEB - Pebblebrook Hotel Trust
KO - Coca Cola
BAC - Bank of America Corp.
GE - General Electric
PG - Procter and Gamble

Any thoughts on these?

Interesting discussions guys....
Nepali_american,
damn...we have similar thoughts about Melissa lee and Maria Bartiromo. The blonde u r talking about Tyrrany, may be one from CNBC as there is a blonde i like in cnbc and don't remember her name.....there is another in cnbc, comes in early european session from New york..she is hot too....

hmmm...digraced man...

Let me talk about stocks now....
GLD....as it moves preety close as gold...lets start with gold....gold made highs above 1900 and last month and retested that high recently....the unusual and steep climb towards highs above 1900 for first time was already dubious.... there u heard chatters of gold being overvalued in short-term .....is it going to show temporary signals of topping ??? thats what i was thinking...just being cautious. and then it tests highs of 1900s again.....and fails....a temporary double top ????  Meantime...market is testing its lows...fear is everywhere...running to safe haven assets is norm. But Fed declines to expand its balance sheet...it doesnot print money as it did in QE 1 and 2...merely reinvesting proceeds from short term bond sales to long-dated bonds....no QE3 for now....market positions for new reality...asset class rotation comes in play.....stocks get dumped....money flows into bonds...10 year Treasury yield makes lows.....safe heaven plays. Money moving to Treasurys understandable.....but gold becomes biggest looser....surprising....may be big hedge-funds and institutional investors needed buyers to unload huge positions....and what could be better moment than this week....fear..fear and fear

about the future of GLD, I dont see it as sell right now....go and see weekly charts....40w moving average has been such a good support for last 2-years....and it hasn't still tested it......unless 40w MA is broken and lower highs are are not seen....it is not sell....may be hold....don not add position either.  Economic uncertainty in Europe and possible recession in U. S. always can spark anothe rally...the talk of indian and chinese demand for gold may provide some support to it but not going to spark another rally....I have heard that before in 2008 too and it is just a market noise.

About the strength of dollar....weakening of Euro is ovbious reason...as it is one sixth part of dollar-index......no QE3....larger possibility of recession in europe which will certainly make european central bank to cut interest rates in near future....dollar will go up...charts are aligned with fundamentals.....market sells off, dollar will go up as safe heaven....and strong dollar hurts american exports and not considered revenue friendly to multinational companies who earns big chunks of thier revenues from rest of the world.

That leaves me to think, stronger dollar and stronger market are possible together in this scenario ????  Where is market heading next ????

 Guys,
I bought a good number of shares of BAC at 6.02 and sold it at 6.30. will get in again on Monday if it looks good.
Did Same thing with "S". Bought at 3.03 and sold at 3.15. Its kinda risky right now. When there's no Iphone announcement watch out folks its gonna go downhill.

Some Trending stocks and some candlestick plays I found as I was going through Stocktwits (good resource)

ACOM sexy hammer

ARUN trending , Entry -pullback and hold support or trendline break

CBST trending, Entry - on pull back and hold support
or trendline break

FN same deal

LDK inverted hammer-seems like all the solars have found a bottom(might be a temp but still)...if FSLR rallies again, this and JASO and JKS are gonna pop with it would be nice for a decent intraday trade

MNKD pull back hold support line

STEC- pennant/triangle breakout, entry only after confirmation of broken resistance

TIBX -same deal as STEC

Markets still edgy, All about greece tomorrow, lets see what futures do t nite...if everything goes south then ..another big drop in the markets IMO

still long NFLX, confirmation of a technical bounce on friday....but blockbuster annouced its streaming thing friday...lets see how it plays out ...stop at 124.75...

I bought some NFLX calls that expires next week ...strike 140...lets hope that makes some money. It looked like it held pretty good  wed and thursday so i was expecting a $10 bounce of friday.....but that did not happen...still long but little skeptic now about NFLX short term rise.

@sidster u still in LVS, it broke 50 MA support, but it held 200 MA support, I think 200 MA support is its last hope for continuing an uptrend...unless the market tanks and whipsaws...

NFLX it did pop in the AM on friday but then the blockbuster news came along ...
anyways here's a link for analyst rating changes for it

Yes i have been LVS long since July of 2009. Bought at 7.00 in 2009 and sold at 52.00 in 20010....rebought it @ 42 again at the begining of this year....i am holding it till 65 - 75.

I thought it had a break our from its current range of 38 - 48 but the macros brought it below the 48.40 resistance again. I am little nervous about the market now....if tomorrow opens up red i may have to buy some puts to protect my LVS longs.

NFLX news ...

"Netflix (NFLX) and Dreamworks Animation SKG Inc. (DWA) are close to announcing a deal whereby the DVD and online video service would stream DreamWorks Animation films, The Financial Times reported on its website Sunday.

The FT, citing "people familiar with the situation," said the deal could be announced as early as Monday. The Deal calls for Netflix to replace HBO as Dreamworks Animation's output partner in 2013.

-Dow Jones Newswires; 212-416-2800 "

Market is going up.  If something positive comes out of Angela Merkel's meeting with the Greek PM, it'll go even higher.  Selling opportunity people.

By the by, anybody here own Boeing?  I bought BA last month at $58 as long.  It's doing well, plus the dividend yield is almost 3%.  Will be watching the CNBC program on their new 787 Dreamliner tonight at 9pm.

You guys should check www.distresseddebtinvestorsclub.com or distresseddebtinvesting.com , lots of analysis on unwanted or undervalued and perhaps unknown stocks from different industries. members there provide thorough analytical anlysis on those particular stocks. of course you can choose to buy or not but it is worth following.

also try reading the book

Margin of Safety by Seth Klarman, you can find it in the internet for free. Awesome book that once was selling in Amazon for 1500 bucks.
