I am thinking of sending laptop for my brother in Nepal. I didn't get any person to send with . Is there any other way to send the laptop? Thanks in advance.

Now the baggage size shrinked to 50 lbs. No one will dare to put inside the luggage. To carry in , it will be a hassle, if you go via london, they will weight you hand carry and it should be one not more than 13lbs. So, to request other, it must be your own family members.
Do not think of sending via Parcel , you will end up paying 150% tax. As suggested, buy locally.

best idea is to find someone who carries yr laptop in flight. no hassle. if not better buy in nepal. don't send in luggage b'dy.

Laptops in nepal are lot more expensive compared to here. Also, the specs are not Good. I went to CAN infotech. There laptops of 70 thousands NRS, and they had linux in it. I mean come on get me some genuine XP, or Vista. The OS is all duplicate, and there are still laptops with 512 Mbs of memory. hahah, I remember seeing Mac Book Pro for 2 Lakhs + rupees. Its 1900 USD here.
