I am wondering how is the craze of iphone in Nepal. Despite, there is no 3G technology in Nepal... i am pretty sure 50% of the functions on the iphone are useless. Or did any company like Mero mobile or NTC started providing such kind of service too. I need the ideas from the people from Nepal

In fact Nepal is the first country to have 3g network in the south asia . So better not underestimate Nepal though, the network connection is still poor.

This make is really sick. Without Fast Internet and Good network, iphone is nothing but ifokut. It can be only used for show. First of all, Mobile is for talk. In the case of Nepal's NTC's network its so so pathetic. Forget about the 3g, they even didn't met the standard of 2G. I am not discouraging the Nepal's Telecom but its the bitter fact. Its call quality is really horrible.

Like someone else said, Nepal was one of the first to introduce 3G in south (east ?) Asia. The reason NTC/other telecom service sucks is because of network congestion. If you kept up with the news, lot of people are unsatisfied in US. ( NYC, California) because iPHone is a bandwidth hog and currently at&t is not able to support such bandwidth. Yes, iPhone exprience would suck in Nepal, but you can use it like a normal phone, iPod, play games etc, so it would not be that bad. P.S ppl in nepal do have iPhones.

Hi; Do not underestimate Nepali, we got more disposable income than you dude living in USA. We do not much care about the networking rather than the status of having latest technology. You got our norm, values and status quo. Please do not humiliate because you are living aboard. Ha ha ha
