What ever you do , do not open a shop or invent is land/housing !!! Its against economics !!
Everyone has different ability both financially and tactically. You do not need to be expert in what you are doing. All you need is determination and vision to success. everything works if you are determined.
Three cases
One of my fren retuened to Nepal after trying his luck in 4 countries(Singapore, Cyprus, NZ and India). he is now working as costumer service representative for Druk Air. He has also partly invested in construction equipment. He earns bout 20k from Druk Air and about 60k a monthfrom renting the construction equipments. He still spends his spare time in his farm as his family is farmer. He has lived happily than he ever was.
Another of my fren returned from7 years in Switzerland with degree in Hotel Management. He opened a restaurent in Kathmandu with new vision attracting the rich and famous. He invested about 4 million rupees in the begining. He is now millionaire in dollars, drives Land Rover and hangs out with models. He has lived the dream of many Nepali youths.
One of my relative returned from Australia after getting PR. His aim was to live happily with his family while working lightly at any Nepali five star hotels (he had a degree and experience in professional cooking from Australia). He did that for 3/4 years, got married with beautiful lady. After that time, he felt that he could not adjust with Nepalese condition and returned to Australia.
Best of luck, I always salute anyone who goes back to their home nation after finishing their studies. I wish I could do the same sometime in future.

hetteri_ka bro,
One of the good technical idea is to set up Conversion Auto Workshop.
1. To convert gas/petrol/diesel engine vehicles to Electric Plug In vehicles.
Check http://www.evalbum.com/ for the details of the vehicles that can be converted.
Slowly Electric Vehicles will be running in Nepal, as India already is making Reva electric cars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REVA
and China is also manufacturing quite a number http://szeagle-golfcar.en.made-in-china.com/product-list-1.html
Some of the experience from Gas station can be used to set up/run Electric Vehicle Car Charging station. This is still in early stage but after the release of Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt in US awareness is slowly already growing in US so will in Nepal gradually.
2. Try Blink and other Charging station in Google.
Pictures in Goolge
As Nepal is facing Load-shedding. These ideas are discouraging for now. But eventually will be demanding.
News like Korea to invest in Upper Modi and Modi A is a promising for these ideas.
Best Wishes.

Another encouraging good news for Electric Plug in Vehicles associated industry establishment in Nepal.
A step closer toward feasibility and implementaion.
According to Sharma, there are some 513 entrepreneurs who have taken the license to operate hydropower project, and which will n the country if thegenerate some 29,000 MW of electricity iy become fully operational.
As Nepal starts producing more hydro-electricity, we need consumers like Electric Plug in vehicles. This will definitely reduce in our dependency on Petrol and Diesel. The days are little far but certainly reachable.

wow! nepalz._com bro,
what an awesome input! I really appreciate your contribution.
I will note thst down and study the logistics involved.
Also, I was thinking of adding a text book to the nepali curriculum. Starting from grade 1 or 2 - allthe way to 10. May be replace some vestigial courses like social studies or moral science. On that subject i Plan to include all about the country, why we are so far behind, what went wrong?, overview of the rest of the world, systems in successful countries, changes required in the country, where to start, what are responsibilities as citizens,,,yestai,,,so children will grow cautious about the country.. I think the problem lies in the nepaliese who are 35-55 right now. They were never taught about their responsibilities of the country and they are the current rulers full of corruption, ignorance and fraud. --educating children is a good idea, this will eventually pay off when they grow up!
Please give me some more ideas! Spending some minutes for the better of country is always good. Think of a day, you are old and you got everything u hoped for- money, loving wife and kids...tara when you think of your roots...there should be something prosperous!! lets make the country good! we can do it!

Granade, I hope you're aware of the risk factor. Kathmandu Valley ma Vending machine does sound lucrative but even in India, they actually have attendants.
