The End of Jholey Trade Unions!

The Balen government is in a full-swing "Bulldozer" mode to get rid of 'squatters' not only in illegal settlements but everywhere, be it the labor trade unions and even civil service unions affiliated with our old school corrupt political parties.

Our government doesn't want politically affiliated student unions in our universities and neither do they want the same with the civil service unions in the bureaucracy as well! If we look at our sarkari karmacharis and hakims, then almost 80% of them are affiliated to the old school corrupt political parties.

Maybe in a decade or two, we will finally have no-jholey hakims but the ones who entered the civil service a decade ago still have another twenty years to go, and if they don't straighten up on their way up the hakim ladder, this government might show them the door as well!

Yes, we need labor unions, student unions, and government employees' unions but let's have a single body to represent them when it comes to better facilities for students or fair wages for our workers or sarkari karmachaaris! We don't need 12 different politically affiliated unions creating a scene everywhere, be it our universities, factories, or even in our bureaucracy!

It will be difficult for the government at first because we know that our jholey unions will fight back because they have been milking the system with their political affiliation for the past three decades. Now, there are no mili-juli looteras in town rather than the solo maverick RSP alone and our hakims might try to sabotage some of the plans in place to make us great again!

But Balen is not going to be scared or corrupted like our past politicians who headed the government and followed the hakims' advice on how to loot the treasury, the people, and even extort their own civil servants for lucrative postings and promotions!

And now our government has officially dissolved these jholey trade unions in the civil service and health sectors. And it's about time we end the politicization of our government bodies. We won't be needing any bhag-banda postings or appointments as the RSP has the mandate to do their thing for the next five years without having to offer anything to other political parties and their jholeys. RSP doesn't need jholeys to lead this country. The people have spoken or voted to be precise and now they need to perform in the coming years till the next election!

I think it's about time our weak opposition be a good sport and try to help the government to fix the problems in the country. But what can the Congress UML Maoist (CUM) wallahs do when they were part of the problem? If they were Japanese, then they would have committed harakiri by now, but they aren't, and that's why they have no shame and continue to think they can somehow topple the new government with their 'hawataari' guff instead! But it's not happening and that's why the old school jholeys and their Sugar Daddies are now sacred to death!

Our government will also save some money as they no longer have to provide a separate office and furnishing and chiya kharcha and even vehicles for these sarakari trade unions like in the past. We have been extorted and abused by our sarkari karmarchaaris since 1991 and this is going to stop from here on.

We hope we won't have to pay the extra Rs 2,000 for our "Basai Sarai', the extra Rs 5,000 to get your youth sports club's registration renewed, and if some of our hakims still want that chiya kharcha, then this Balen government will make sure that he spends his time drinking tea in prison instead!

We don't need netas inside our bureaucracy. Their job is to work for the government to provide better services to the public and not sit in their trade union offices and threaten the hakim to get better postings and promotions for their jholeys! This will stop now and let's hope our sarkari karmacharis will work honestly and for the people in the real 'New' Nepal!
