Patience is a Virtue

For the past two decades, we silently cheered if you were a jholey or sneered if you were just a hardworking law-abiding citizen, at the mili-juli loot sarkars while old sadakchaaps looted this nation dry. They promised us a great Federal Democratic Republic, but it was just a big sham and all about ripping off the public, and we voted for them again and again.

And now when young guns take over the wheel and want to fix the three-decade-long plumbing problem in this country, we call them tyaape, DJ wallah Babu and Water Boy and all names not even fit for your drunk uncle! At least, thank God, we don't have to waste our taxpayers' money on another free Kidney for Oli or on expensive whiskeys and bags of cash for Prachanda and Deuba!

PM Balen Shah is not going to stop posting on Facebook, and all his haters can either block him or deactivate their own accounts if they want some peace of mind, maybe. The PM dropped a late-night status, and the country is going crazy again. All he said was that it might take time, but it won't go wrong, and there is nothing to panic about.

I guess the same ones who were happy with a three-decade-long wait for some Melamchi ko paani and all that loot are losing their minds over another FB status. I guess we need to remind ourselves that the old buggers promised us that we would transform into Switzerland since the 90s, and we were getting there until the Gen Z massacre happened.

Patience is a virtue and not something your bajai preaches when you wait for the pressure cooker to whistle. Trying to fix the loot system into an honest system will take time because it is not easy to get rid of corruption in a fortnight! We survived decades of loot, and I think we can survive a few years of slow but steady push towards good governance, transparency and accountability!

PM Balen is a smart man. Call him what you want, good, bad or ugly! He has warned us that the reality sometimes can be different from what we hear and see. If Freud were alive today, he would leave his work and ask Balen for some tips on maybe updating FB statuses!

PM Balen is trying to tell us that real work happens in silence and fork the daily rage-baiting old school media. He is trying to slowly dismantle the mafia state, and we have to support him till the world ends or a big earthquake over 8.0 hits and we are all in heaven maybe!

When the PM writes that sometimes he has to fight alone and this isn't his first time, we have to sympathize with him and wish him well. It is not easy being a PM in a country where 80% of our hakims, byaparis and even police wallahs and justices are corrupt to the bone!

The opposition wallahs, the old school media and jholeys want him to fail, but the truth is that we are actually moving in the right direction and these young guns are actually building a foundation of a real Republic and not a fake one!
