Dear all, On 10/06/09, I was pulled over by police on the ramp to I-495 SB from I-66 WB for violation of HOV-2 lane. This is a first offense to me and I am ready to pay fine. But before paying, I would like to make sure that if I got point on my record. If I got, I would like to go to court which is an option too. So is there any way to find out points on driving record online? Your help is appreciated.

As far as I remember, you just have to pay fine if this is your first HOV violation. You will not get any point as per my experience

Different States have different laws, I think you should know that by now. So, I live in Maryland States, and I was pulled over on 270-HOV lane, the officer clearly explained my fine and my point. And also, the procedure to get rid off that point. Ain't that so helpful. Why didn't you ask the officer at the same spot? Use your all rights next time.

Well, in this case, Don't appeal it, that will be wasting time. Pay the fine, If you really want to see your driving record (which included points) go to the local DMV office, they will provide you with a certain fees(Less than 10 dollers).

Thank you all. So far the information I got, my first offense wont get any point. Thats good for me and a good lesson to be more careful in future. Yes, you were right, I could use my all rights at the spot asking officer. All my concerntrations at the moment I focussed was just trying to convince the officer. Sorry, Mercy, Innocent, Not aware, .... But nothing worked. All UNJUSTIFIABLE.
