We talk a lot about the hippies and the sixties. It was a social trend, a way sought by youth to get away from the frustrations and mundane. It was the lifestyle likened by a lot of curious youth. Like there were Hippies in the past, what is the new social trend that is attracting the youth away from the mainstream social culture? I cannot think of any such after the sixties. Whats up with me? Or, what could be the a non-mainstream culture of future youth? futuristic trends guesses?? anybody???

now is the YUPPIES "Yuppies is the short term for Young Urban Professionals or Young Upwardly Mobile Urban Professionals (as some authors contend) . The term Yuppies refers to people who are generally between the ages of their late twenties to mid-thirties, usually employed in a professional job, often living in an urban setting. Yuppies tend to earn in the upper middle class income range at an early age." --about.com
